
Myriam Khalfallah is an expert in natural resource management, environment, and climate change, with a focus on marine fisheries and ecosystems. She currently serves as Project Lead for a climate change adaptation project funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by the NGO FHI360 in North Africa. Her work focuses on the impacts of climate change on data-poor marine fisheries and ecosystems in conflict and post-conflict zones.
Myriam holds Myriam holds a Ph.D. in Resource Management and Environmental Studies from the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) and the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries (IOF) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. She holds an Agronomic Engineering degree with a specialization in Environmental and Fisheries Sciences from the Institut National Agronomique de Tunisie (INAT).
Beyond her scientific work, Myriam has been a photographer for over a decade. Originally from Tunisia, she now lives in Vancouver, Canada
