I had the privilege of taking part in a panel discussion on digital transformation and artificial intelligence in Tunisia’s agriculture and fisheries sectors, held at the University of Tunis El Manar during the MenAfrica Digital Summit 2025.
Our conversation explored how emerging technologies can address the challenges faced by fishers and farmers, and the resulting impacts on food and livelihood security. We also discussed the importance of preserving the wealth of traditional knowledge in these sectors. I shared insights from my work on integrating digital tools into fisheries management and climate adaptation, emphasizing the importance of user-centered design, equitable access to technology, and close collaboration with rural communities.
